About Sarah Hanison
Introducing Sarah Hanison
Hello and a warm welcome – I’m Sarah.
As is often the way, personal life events led me to train as a psychotherapist. I was also searching for a career where I could deeply connect and work creatively with others. Turns out it wasn’t just a career, but a vocation, and a warm expression of heart.
Over the many years of doing this work, I am continually amazed, humbled and inspired by my clients’ stories and courage to change and grow, often in times of the darkest pain, and a privilege to hold them in that transformative space.
My clients have taught me so much about the nature of being human and their feedback has continually pushed me to keep evolving as a therapist and remind me of the simple importance of relationship.

I believe it is the creation of a safe, empathic and respectful relationship that fosters healing and growth.
A Little More About Me
Since becoming qualified in 2009, I have been very committed to my development having trained in several different somatic approaches, particularly trauma-informed approaches and therapies.
I am passionate about resourcing my clients through psychoeducation and regulating tools they can use outside the therapy room, and why I like to work holistically, integrating different evidence-based therapies to safely release the deepest issues held in the body and subconscious mind.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the music industry and then a stint in the corporate world in various administration and personal assistant roles.
I really look forward to working with you.
